An Actual Step by Step Plan That Works

Anyone who has been following my recommendations know that I don't recommend much. There are simply too many garbage products online that do nothing but confuse people even more or give them information that they can't use.

I prefer to recommend stuff that I've used and have had results with. Stuff that I know will help you and make a difference in your affiliate marketing/ make money online efforts.

A while ago, I bought a guide called One Week Marketing which was based on the actual steps the author, Jennifer Ledbetter (or PotPieGirl as she is known by in the internet marketing community) takes to make over $100,000 online.  (Yes, you can make that kind of money online.)

I Don't Recommend Maverick Money Makers

If you've been researching how to make money online, chances are you've come across a membership site called Maverick Money Makers.

I do not recommend this program.

There are quite a number of reviews that will sing praises about Maverick Money Makers but I did a little digging and found that the real users have quite a bit of problems with this program ranging from being taught unethical business practices to outdated material and not to mention the high monthly membership fee.

Step By Step Affiliate Marketing - Helping Out a Friend

This guy Burton is new to affiliate marketing so he asks for help on the Affiliatebot affiliate marketing forum, where I'm a member.

I realize that he's really serious about learning affiliate marketing so I pitch in to help him out on a thread he started entitled, "Step by Step Affiliate Marketing". The post turned out to be a very valuable post that anyone can follow.

Burton responded and decide to take action and the ongoing thread is one of the most helpful threads posted on the forum with Burton asking questions, updating his progress and me answering the questions, offering suggestions and guidance.

Stay Far Away From Google Cash Kits

Here at Honest Home Income, I really want people to be able to earn money online without getting scammed.

So one of my responsibilities is to warn you about any scams that are out there. I encourage you to ask questions whenever you come across any questionable. You can leave a comment at the end of this blog post or if you're signed up to the newsletter send me an email.

One of the scams that I've been coming across lately...too often is the Google Money Systems or Google cash kits. They're known by a lot of names and are very misleading in their advertising. There are quite a bit of people who claim to be getting results with the Google Money kits but their aim is really to get you to sign up for the kits.

How to Post Search Engine Ads

One of the quickest ways to make money from home is to post ads on online search engines such as Google, Yahoo and MSN.

By far the most popular search engine to post ads on is Google. You've probably seen promotions about making money from Google.

Here's how it works.

The advertiser - you - posts an ad on the search engine. You specifies which keywords you want Google to show your ad for.

A searcher types the keyword into the search engine and the results come up. On the right hand side Google shows ads for that keyword by advertisers. If the searcher clicks your ad, you pay Google a small fee, usually some cents, and the searcher is taken to your advertised site either via your affiliate link or the site that you specified when making the ad.

This type of advertising is called PPC advertising and can be highly profitable once you know what you're doing.

PPC, which stands for pay per click is a paid form of advertising for your affiliate promotions and has its advantages and disadvantages. Although you don't need money to make money online, PPC requires that you have a budget which doesn't necessarily have to be huge. You can open a Google Adwords account with only $5.

The advantages of posting search engine ads:

1. You can get visitors to your site very fast ie. in as little as 15 minutes.
2. You can target specific keywords that make money
   
3. Once your ad is making money at a profitable rate you can run the campaign almost on autopilot.
4. Posting search engine ads is more predicatable than other forms of advertising.

The disadvantages of posting search engine ads:

1. Google is usually picky about what you should have on your website.
2. If you aren't careful you can blow your budget without making a profit or sale.
   
3. You need to know exactly what you're doing before you attempt to have your ad go live.
   

Posting search engine ads can be fun once you know what you're doing and can make you a lot of money in a short space of time. Its not uncommon to see people make $300 and $400 per day although I know some guys who make thousands per day but these guys usually have big budgets.

1. Google Adwords Learning Center - This is Google's own free resource for persons who wish to learn how to post ads on their search engine. I highly recommend you spend some time in here to familiarize yourself with they system.

2. Beating Adwords - This is one of the best books ever written on the subject of using Google to post ads but you can get it free by signing up to Wealthy Affiliate using this link.

3. Wealthy Affiliate - offers an accreditation course in PPC. The guys who run WA are also the writers of Beating Adwords - experts who can turn you from clueless to making money posting search engine ads.

Warning - Legit Online Jobs isn't so Legit.

With a name like Legit Online Jobs, you would expect something that has some honesty in it where you can make money from home freely.

Maybe you've come across Legit Online Jobs before and thought it looked good and maybe you even thought about trying it. Don't!

I think everyone who has aspirations of making money online should keep a blog. Blogs help you to become content producers which is absolutely crucial in making money online.

The best part about it is that it costs you nothing at all to start.

How To Make Money With Hubpages

Many people believe that in order to make money online, you have to have a website. This is far from the truth. In fact, you can start making money online without a website and without any sort of investment.

One of the sites that I use to make a full time income online is Hubpages.com. There are several ways you can use this site to make money and the built in community is always fun.

This article, How To Make Money On Hubpages, gives the lowdown on how you can use the site to your advantage.

Being an affiliate marketer is by far the best income source when using Hubpages so you'll still need to learn a little about that if you want to make substantial amounts of money with Hubpages. Otherwise, learning affiliate marketing is optional.

Love What You Do? - Make Money

Most people have a passion, a hobby or a past time that they are really into and could probably talk about for hours on end.

Thing is, most people who have these passions don't know how to make money on the internet with this knowledge... or they probably didn't realize that they can.

One of the keys to making money online is to be an expert or authority on a topic...or at least appearing to be one.

This is so easy for people with passions...they are real experts and this puts them in a position to make a lot of money in their specific niches.

So what would you need to do to make money if you do have a passion for a subject?

You will need to know how to reach your audience...your audience being people just like you. These people can be in other countries and you will still be able to reach them thanks to the internet.

How Do You Reach Your Audience?

Learning how to promote stuff online to make money will allow you to reach your audience...the ones with money who are also passionate about the same thing you're passionate about. Once you connect with them it will be easy for you to get them to purchase from you...much easier than if you knew nothing about the topic.

What To Sell?

You could make your own product but that takes a bit more specific know how. The easiest way to make money is to promote stuff as an affiliate marketer and collect the commissions or percentage of what the merchant company sells the item for. Some companies will even pay you even if the person doesn't buy anything but rather supplies them with their name and email address.

Here's an example of how it could go.

Kate really enjoys watching movies. She has seen all the new releases and spends her spare time renting dvds and going to the movies. She has seen a lot of classics and even some of the worst movies made. She knows and loves to watch the actors and also checks out the awards when they're aired on tv. Kate is a movie buff. She lives for movies.

So all Kate needs to do is to find ways to make money with her passion for movies.

She could start a movie review blog and promote dvds on Amazon, rentals from NetFlix and even movie tickets from Fandango. They all have affiliate programs that pay you for each sale. Millions of people also visit the internet to check out movie reviews every month.

But Kate needs to be careful. She must learn exactly how to do this or she may not get much visitors because of big competitors like IGN, Rotten Tomatoes and other big name movie blogs. She may be tempted to give up hope but in any industry where there is big competition there is lots of money being made...lots!

How can Kate learn?

Kate already has the passion for movies...so she knows how to write stuff that will appeal to audiences. Even if she doesn't want to write she can still use other means like video.

Kate can join the top make money training site on the internet, Wealthy Affiliate, and learn how to get her blog and her articles or videos ranking on the first page of Google where people will see them. A membership like this would be worth a lot to Kate since she will be able to use the knowledge to make money from something she loves.
